Travel awardsAt Expert Africa, we don't usually blow our own trumpet. However, we are very pleased when others kindly recognise what we try hard to achieve. It's particularly welcome that readers of the UK's Wanderlust magazine rate us so highly – as you'll read below. They are generally adventurous and informed travellers who research their travels in great detail. This is clearly a good match! Here's a brief note of some accolades in recent years: October 2007: In the prestigious Guardian/Observer Travel Awards, Expert Africa's brochure again comes in the top three for best brochure. The judges commented: “Expert Africa's product doesn't have any clever design gimmicks (in fact it's all a bit cramped in places) but it takes third place thanks to the sheer quantity and quality of the information in there. This brochure would keep you busy for hours of enjoyable trip planning and shows that when working out your holiday, you don't necessarily have to rush straight to the internet.” 2007: Readers of the UK's leading travel magazine, Wanderlust, voted Expert Africa as one of the UK's top three tour operators. We came second, missing the top spot by a whisker (0.15%), having scored over 98% for customer satisfaction. 595 of the UK's tour operators were nominated for these awards. Wanderlust readers have voted us in their top 5 UK tour operators in every set of awards that they have done! 2005: Readers of Wanderlust voted Sunvil (we were then known as Sunvil Africa) third in the category of Top Tour Operator – with a score of 94.5% for customer satisfaction. 2004: Readers of Wanderlust voted Sunvil (we were then known as Sunvil Africa) as the Top Tour Operator – with an amazing score of 100% for customer satisfaction. This score has yet to be equalled in the history of these awards! 335 operators were nominated for these awards. 2003: Readers of Wanderlust voted Sunvil (we were then known as Sunvil Africa) fourth in the category of Top Tour Operator – with a score of 91.2% for customer satisfaction! 2002: AITO, the Association of Independent Tour Operators, awarded Sunvil Africa its highest rating for responsible travel practices, their coveted 3-star award. We were one of only three tour operators awarded that initial highly commended status. We have retained this highest level of recognition for our responsible travel practices – AITO's 3-star award – from 2002 to the present day. 2001: In their first ever annual poll, the readers of Wanderlust voted Sunvil (we were then known as Sunvil Africa) in a clear first place as their Top Tour Operator. Readers gave us their top mark (94.7%) for customer satisfaction! 2001: Sunvil Africa was awarded best brochure by the UK's Guardian & Observer newspapers. ^ Top of page |
