Tena Tena overlooks the river on the edge of the Nsefu Sector of the South Luangwa, some of which is very open and flat – helping to make it a lovely area for big-game walking safaris. You'll find old lagoons, excellent game and lots of open space. The area surrounding Bilimungwe camp is varied – with some pretty stretches of riverine woodland along the Luangwa River, thicker miombo woodlands, and plenty of open 'dambos'.
