This is a great trip for the adventurous! Spending 3 nights at Footsteps walking camp in the game-rich Shinde reserve, you will be led specialist walking guides, and a few nights' stay here will give you an authentic taste of the bush. You then spend 2 nights on the Kanana Mokoro Trail exploring the Delta by mokoro in the day and setting up camp at one of the islands at night. Your last night is spent in luxury at Kanana in this beautiful Delta reserve.

Day 1

Starting from London Heathrow, your scheduled overnight flight takes you to Johannesburg.

Days 2-4 Okavango Delta Safari Reserves, Botswana

In Jo'burg you connect to a scheduled Air Botswana flight to Maun, where you are met and swiftly flown by light aircraft (about 35 minutes) to the heart of Shinde Reserve. You usually arrive in time for a late lunch, and start your safari with 3 nights here. Click for further details of –

Days 5-6 Okavango Delta Safari Reserves, Botswana

After your morning activity, you will fly over to Kanana where you'll be met by your guide and board your mokoro, and then glide along to one of the more remote areas of the Okavango Delta. On a secluded island, you will find your rustic bush camp where friendly staff waits ready to welcome you with a refreshing cool drink. For 2 nights you'll stay in tiny, simple camps whilst you explore the surrounding wilderness by mokoro in the company of an armed, expert guide. Click for more details of –

Day 7 Okavango Delta Safari Reserves, Botswana

Arriving back at main camp, you transfer by vehicle to Kanana, a permanent lodge. You are based here for a further night to enjoy day & night game drives and discover more of the excellent game and birdlife in this beautiful area of the Okavango Delta. For further details click on -

Day 8

After a short (typically 40 minutes) light aircraft flight back to Maun, you'll connect with your Air Botswana flight to Jo'burg, and subsequently to a scheduled overnight flight back to London Heathrow.

Day 9

Arrive back in London Heathrow, early in the morning - you've the whole day to get yourself home, and to reflect on your game-filled break in Botswana.
