Slender Mongoose Safari

This luxurious safari spends 7 nights in the middle of the bush, staying at two lovely camps in Lower Zambezi National Park – here you will have a variety of activities on offer from 4WD game drives to walking and river safaris; it's a great trip for keen safari-goers who wish to explore the park while enjoying superb accommodation.

Note that the bushcamp, Old Mondoro, only opens from June to October, when Zambia's weather is generally fine and dry. This safari is not possible during the rest of the year.

Starting from London Heathrow, your scheduled British Airways overnight flight will take you directly to Lusaka

Days 2-5 Lower Zambezi National Park, Zambia
Chiawa Camp Arriving in Lusaka in the morning, you connect with a 45-minute flight to Lower Zambezi, flying south over the escarpment and down to the valley on the far side. On arrival, you'll be met by your guide and open 4WD vehicle and will be taken for your first 4 nights at –
Chiawa Camp (full board & activities)
Situated on a sweeping bend of the mighty Zambezi river, this camp is the “grand dame” of the Lower Zambezi – luxurious accommodation and with the highest standards of service.

Days 6-8 Lower Zambezi National Park, Zambia
Old Mondoro After exploring the area around Chiawa on foot and in open 4WD gameviewing vehicles, you will be taken by open 4WD to your next camp which offers all activities but is in a great walking area. Your home for the next 3 nights will be –
Old Mondoro (full board & activities)
Situated in a grove of winterthorn trees, towards the eastern side of the park, Old Mondoro is a simple but stunning little camp with comfortable accommodation and excellent guiding.
