Day 1

Depart London Heathrow on your scheduled overnight flight with British Airways to Dar es Salaam.

Days 2-4 Ngorongoro Crater & Conservation Area, Tanzania

Arrive at Dar es Salaam early in the morning, where you will connect straight onto a light flight to Arusha. Here you will be met by you own private superior guide and 4x4 safari vehicle with a pop-top roof. Together you drive out of Arusha – where the town slowly gives way to rural country side. Gibb's Farm (full board & activities)

Spend one of your full days here in the beautiful Lake Manyara National Park which sits below the spectacular Great Rift Valley Escarpement. On the road, pass huge troops of baboons that this park is famous for before arriving at the vast alkaline Lake Manyara. Spot groups of hippos and vast numbers of great white pelicans, then look out for the tree-climbing lions in the forests. (Though rare – this isn't unique to Lake Manyara as often claimed) On your second full day – drive to the Ngorongoro Crater - which has extraordinary numbers of game and spectacular scenery.

Days 5-6 Serengeti Migration Area, Tanzania

Leave Gibb's Farm after an early breakfast and drive past the Crater rim and on to Serengeti National Park. During you time here, stay in one of the smart semi-permanent camps that moves twice a year to optimise its location for the the great migration. Olakira Camp (full board & activities)

With your own private vehicle and guide – you have the flexibility to arrange your days as you wish. Either head out on an all day safari – exploring far from camp and stopping when you feel like it for a picnic lunch. Or enjoy a more leisurely day, with a morning drive and then an afternoon drive – spending the heat of the day in camp.

Days 7-8 Serengeti Migration Area, Tanzania

Depart in the morning with a packed lunch, and drive at leisure through the Serengeti until you reach the Loliondo Game Controlled Area. Though outside of the park – it is still part of the same eco-system and as there are no fences the game wonders between the areas. Here you will find great game – but a lesser visited area and as a result true wilderness. Whilst here, base yourself at the comfortable and smart....

Suyan Camp (full board & activities)

As Loliondo is outside of the national park – you are allowed to go on safari walks and night drives during your time here. Walk out to a beautiful viewpoint to watch the sunset, or perhaps to a nearby village to meet the local people. Though you can still use the camps on vehicles and guides, should you wish to go out on a game drive.

Day 9

Drive to a nearby airstrip and catch a light flight back to Arusha. From here, either continue on to one of our beach trips in Zanzibar, Pemba, Ras Kutani or the Mafia Archipelago, or transfer across to Kilimanjaro Airport by private car. Here you will connect with your flight to Nairobi and then meet your British Airways overnight flight back to London.

Day 10

Arrive back in London early in the morning having thoroughly enjoyed a wonderful safari, with ample time to make the final leg of your journey home.
