Red lechwe self-drive



This self-drive safari visits an undisturbed part of Africa: using a couple of secluded lodges in northern Namibia's Caprivi Strip; observing northern Botswana's Okavango Delta and Chobe National Park from quieter vantage points than is often the norm; and touching on Zambia's Victoria Falls – and throughout it uses small, high-quality lodges, and good guides for your wildlife activities.

Day 1
Starting from London Heathrow, your scheduled South African Airways overnight flight will take you via Johannesburg to Windhoek, where you land around midday.

Day 13 Livingstone & Victoria Falls, Zambia

At about midday, you will be transferred to Livingstone airport for your flight to Johannesburg, to connect to the overnight South African Airways flight back directly to London Heathrow.

With the spray of the great Victoria Falls still in your mind, you'll arrive back into London Heathrow in the early morning – after an unforgettable safari across southern Africa – from Namibia, through Botswana and into Zambia.

This itinerary includes:
• Economy flights to and from London Heathrow, plus UK, South African and Namibian airport departure taxes.
• All your meals and activities as specified.
• A Group B hire car for the duration of your trip, to be picked up and dropped off at Windhoek Airport. This includes unlimited mileage.
• Our unique full 100% LDW insurance . Please note that this is only valid for drivers who are aged over 25 and under 75 years and who are resident in the EEC. (Alternative insurance arrangements are possible for others, although this alters the price of the itinerary slightly.)

• Most of the activities which are run by Tongabezi's own team of guides, including:

– Visit to the Zambian side of the Victoria Falls

This itinerary excludes:
• Petrol for your hire car .
• Park fees to enter any national park (unless on an organised prepaid trip arranged by a lodge).
• Tips and gratuities (which are optional).
• All meals and activities not specified.
• Zambian airport departure taxes (normally US$25 per person for international departures).
• The fee for dropping the hire car off in Kasane. The amount is N$3,500 (approx. £280), which is made up of a one way fee of N$2,500 and a collection fee of N$1,000 from Kasane Airport. This cannot be paid in advance, and must be paid locally.
• Activities in the Livingstone area that are not run by the Tongabezi. For example - white-water rafting, bungee-jumping and flights of angels over the Victoria Falls.
