Hippo safari - emerald seasonThis classic Zambian safari gives you 6 nights in Zambia's South Luangwa National Park at Nkwali, the flagship camp of Robin Pope Safaris, from where you can explore the area in detail through 4WD game drives (day & night) and short walking safaris. It's an ideal safari for those who have experienced Africa only when all is dry, but would not usually be our first choice for a 'first' safari – unless your budget is limited, and you're looking for a top-end safari camp at a particularly good-value cost. Zambia's weather can be wet at this time of year; for the equivalent trip during the dry season (June to October), which would make a great first-time safari for people who like walking, see Hippo safari (dry).
This itinerary includes: • Economy flights, as above, plus UK airport departure taxes. • All internal transfers and flights in Zambia • All meals and most drinks whilst on safari (including all house wines, soft drinks and local beers & spirits) • All safari activities, including 4WD safaris in open safari vehicles and walking safaris where conditions allow • Park fees at all the safari camps • A comprehensive pack of information covering the places that you'll be visiting, including the a copy of Zambia: the Bradt Travel Guide, written by Expert Africa's Chris McIntyre This itinerary excludes: • Champagne, specially imported spirits, fine vintage wines and similarly exotic alcoholic drinks (for which all safari camps & hotels will charge extra) • Tips and gratuities (which are optional) • Zambian visa fees (at present these are £75 / $140 per person for a single entry and £240 / $442 per person for a multiple entry) ^ Top of page |
