This 2 night stay near the Victoria Falls is designed to be easily combined with a safari to Botswana: you stay at the lovely Tongabezi Lodge, which is situated on a sweeping bend of the Zambezi upstream from the Victoria Falls in Zambia.

Days 1-2 Livingstone & Victoria Falls, Zambia

Arriving in Livingstone, you'll transfer to Tongabezi by road for 2 nights. During this time you can relax at the lodge, whilst having the option to join in with any of the many activities that Tongabezi offers. Click below for details of the lodge itself –

As an additional extra, the adventurous will find adrenaline activities, including white-water rafting and bungee-jumping, readily available in the area.

Days 3-6

If you are at the end of your trip, you will fly from Livingstone back to London via Jo'burg. If just beginning, you will be transferred across to Botswana to head off onto your chosen Botswana safari. Either way, your transfers to your onward connection are included in the cost of this add-on.

It's also useful as a rough guide to the cost of adding a few days at Tongabezi Lodge to one of our safaris to Zambia's Kafue, South Luangwa or Lower Zambezi areas.

This itinerary includes:
• Internal road, air and/or boat transfers to link this short add-on to a longer Botswana safari;
• Your meals, tea and coffee, and most other drinks (including all soft drinks, house wines and local beers & spirits);
• Laundry service;
• Some activities (mostly run by Tongabezi's own team of guides):
– Guided visits to places of local interest
– Sunrise and sunset boat trips on the Zambezi River
– Guided canoeing excursions
– Lunch on Chundu Island with guided walks
– Fishing (equipment provided)
– Visit to the Zambian side of the Victoria Falls
– Game drive in the Mosi-oa-Tunya Game Park (park fees are extra- charge at $10 per person subject to change)
– Walks in the gorge below the Victoria Falls (park fees are extra)
– Cultural visits to the museum (museum entrance is $5.00 per person –subject to change)
– A visit to a local African village

This itinerary excludes:
• International flights;
• Champagne, specially imported spirits, fine vintage wines and similarly exotic alcoholic drinks (for which all safari camps & hotels will charge extra);
• Tips and gratuities (which are optional);
• Zambian airport departure taxes (normally US$25) per person for international departures.
• Activities in the Livingstone area that are not run by the Tongabezi. For example - white-water rafting, bungee-jumping and flights of angels over the Victoria Falls.
