Caracal self-drive

This very popular 16-night fly-drive trip combines the best of northern and southern Namibia: including the stunning sights of the Namib Desert and 5 nights game viewing in Etosha National Park; in between you drive through much of the most beautiful scenery that Namibia has to offer, resulting in a really great and varied trip.

Day 1
Starting from London Gatwick, your scheduled Air Namibia overnight flight will take you directly (and non-stop) to Windhoek, where you land early in the morning.

Day 2 Windhoek, Namibia
Hilltop House Pick up your hire car on arrival, and head off on the easy 45-minute drive on a lovely tarred road to Namibia's capital, Windhoek. Spend the day meandering around this clean and relaxed African city; maybe shop for some curios or sit in one of the pavement cafés. Then relax for your first night in the…

Day 16
From Erongo Wilderness Lodge, drive back to Windhoek Airport, perhaps stopping at the huge Okahandja market for any last minute curios. Arriving at the airport in good time to drop off your rental car, you then connect to your scheduled overnight flight back to the UK with Air Namibia.

Day 17
Your flight lands in London Gatwick early in the morning, giving you a full day to travel on to your home or make connections with other flights. There is only a minimal time difference between Namibia and the UK, so rarely any real jet lag – at the end of a wonderful experience.
