Complete car coverWe always hire the best cars that we can in Namibia, and these rentals include unlimited mileage and local taxes. We also include a UK-based insurance scheme that covers your LDW (loss/damage waiver), with a minimal excess. We believe that this is unique to us. It offers you supreme peace of mind, by avoiding the high excesses that you risk with other companies. Note that car drivers aged 75 and over should specifically discuss their vehicle insurance with us in light of their age. In some cases, insurance cover for car hire may be restricted or supplements payable. Spare tyres & cool boxesPunctures are rare, but they can happen. All of our Namibia hire cars have the tools to cope and a spare wheel. Namibia is a friendly place; people will usually stop to help you. In addition, if you wish, we can arrange an extra spare wheel for your hire car. This costs a flat rate of about £50 (always payable locally) and should be requested on your booking form. There are often places to stop for refreshments along the way, but some roads can be quite remote. However, if you are starting from and ending your car rental in Windhoek then we have a stock of cool boxes which you can borrow; returned in good order, there's no charge for these. Ask about them when you book, and make a note under Special Requests on the booking form. In addition to our advice before you leave the UK, our colleagues in Namibia will be happy to further discuss the route for your journey, with the latest local advice and tips. Driving in Namibia is a joy, it's a great way to see the country and meet the people. It's good to have currency before you leave Windhoek, as fuel stations only accept cash; South African Rand and Namibian Dollars are interchangeable in Namibia. < Back to Namibia ^ Top of page |
