As you would expect, we are aware that Johannesburg is not in the Cape!

However, as the main flight hub of southern Africa we often have to use Johannesburg for a nights' stopover en route to other destinations such as Cape Town, Mozambique, Botswana, or Namibia.

It is probably not high on the list of destinations that travellers want to visit, but there are a few comfortable options that we can recommend if staying in Johannesburg becomes part of your trip to southern Africa.

Southern Sun O.R. Tambo International Airport is an airport hotel perfect for if you arrive late in the evening and have to depart again early in the morning. If you have a bit more time and would like somewhere with more character in a residential area then The Grace in Rosebank may be what you are after.
